Art Works Statement

In today's world, through high-tech production, anything can be imitated; the world famous paintings can be massively produced through assembly lines, all kinds of new visual stimulus such as holography have entered ordinary life… Videos and internet merged into one raging information tide, attracting people's attention. At this time, painting is being infiltrated by industries like xerography, handmade manufacturing, performance art and so on. Whether painting is necessary has already been asked by many people. As we recall the art history of centuries, painting has been playing the role of ambassador of culture and has developed together with technologies. Now days, physics and mathematics researches to the world we lived have come up the conclusion that the essence of this world can’t be 100% observed by our own eyes: Our brains are holographic projectors, corresponding to the universe, a holographic film. Our eyes can only feel the experience reflections from human’s five senses.

Whether this view is entirely correct, there is one thing for sure: We experience the world by our own knowledge. How can painters be closer to epistemological truths? How can we pass this contemporary culture to next generations through brushes and fulfill the mission of being cultural ambassadors?

My opinion is :abandon the appearance, express the essence and close to the truth of the world. It is expressed in three main directions as followed:First of all, painters must bravely jump outside constrains of painting education after obtaining basic painting skills: this awareness in early stage is highly important and needs high degree of attentions,Conscious training and unique angle & method of observations are the process of searching keys to open our own spiritual energy treasury. According to different experiences and knowledge structure, each person has his(her) own key and favorite way to open it.Only by releasing subconscious memories and feelings to the greatest extent as spiritual energies and mobilizing five senses (eyes, ears, nose, mouth and touch)in orders in paintings, painters would express theirs feeling from hearts, not deceived by visual experiences, therefore, draw the true abstract paintings that are close to the real world.Secondly, painters are disseminators of traditional culture. Works from generation to generation faithfully record the spirits of times; therefore, bear the mission of cultural transmission. Painters having strong positive spiritual energies that surpass other types of material energies can master painting materials, this basic type of material energy. Also painters need to have strong belief of cultural transmission, devotions emphasized by classical paintings that closely related to culture accumulations, right world outlook and pursuit of kind human nature.

Thirdly,I must return to the tenacious questioning, as a human being, in the face of all outside interferences: education, food , clothing, money, rights, incidents, etc., Nothing can stop me from questioning: Where do I come from?  Where do I go, what constitutes this world? What is the relationship between me and the world? is what My eyes see the truth of the world ? Through which way memories of my brain restore the truth? The creation process is also reunification process to infants, eliminate all distractions.

+   Only by doing it, painting can go further .

Material: Tempera on canvas Remarks:Tempera as a medium of expression presents unlimited possibilities for creating art. In drawing replicas of classical paintings, I hope to travel back in time to seek and experience the artists’ mood and painting process at the time, while hone my resolve, develop my own vision, and find a peaceful state of mind. There is genius in doing it this way.

Dream

Material: Paper, gauze, mixed materials Remarks: A true dream is when the five elements between heaven and earth (metal, wood, water, fire, and earth) can stimulate the body’s sub-consciousness. The subconscious mind is the memory overlay of life’s clock and threats from the outside world, thus, loneliness and abstract dreams are always mending our broken wings in reality.
